Don't really listen to D&B much, but Prodigy are pretty much made of win. Pendulum and Pop Will Eat Itself are quite good too, although I already said Pendulum.

You should also check out The Go! Team, although I don't know if they're your cup of tea.

Also, I know you said you know Muse already, but how could I not link to this epic performance?

I usually listen to jazzy cross over genre, jazz-Hop, jazzy Electronic, jazzy lounge, acid jazz and generally breakbeat, downtempo music.
Some of my favorite artists;
Nujabes (Jazz hop/electronic)
Nomak (same ^)
Common Market (fairly underground hiphop, really good!)
Cro-Magnon (jazzy electronic)
CYNE (jazzy hiphop)
Heiruspecs (live music hiphop, has rock influences)
Jose James (really smooth Jazz)
SOIL&"PIMP" SESSIONS (death jazz, hardbop)

Give me the word and I can flood you with links xD

Gotta admit the Go! Team did sound really good, and it got me thinking...
On another forum I'm active they have such as "Music Pimping";
A special sub forum purely for spreading music.
It contains a special "pimp list". To get on that list you need a minimal of 3 "pimps" and the required you reguarly "pimp" new music and comment on the downloads you got from other people.
Whenever you pimp an album, you write a small discription on the album and PM to who ever is on the list a download link for the spin.
Of course this would mainly apply to anybody who has an open mind towards music. I've received pimps on the other forum that contained everything from sludge to indy prog rock to medieval dark ambient and every other music genre you can imagine and enjoyed it! (Regardless of my musical taste stated above)

It would be freaking awesome if it would be possible to accomplish such a thing on Guru. The reason it would all go via PM would of course be legal issues, linking in threads would causes problems, but afaik through PM is as legal as it gets and wouldn't bring any harm to the Guru owners.
It would require an increase of inbox space & send limit.
Although the chances of this happening on Guru seems small, it would definitely be worth a shot Music lovers unite xD!

I know man. I used to rely on the Taborama.com forums for music, but when the tabs got shut down, the forums got taken down to. So I've been kind of stagnant as far as music goes. I've been relying on jazz and such to keep my going.

I tend to associate that genre with angst-ridden, douchey teenagers.
Also, why is it almost all the kiddies I know, went from listening to bands like Dashboard, MCR, Panic at the Disco have all suddenly turned metal?

I blame "adult" swim mostly.

Metal = teh new emo? First they're sad, now they're ...mad? Ha ha.

Anyhow, don't mean to derail, I'm endorsing shoegaze. These bands are teh win:

Jesus and Mary Chain

Swervedriver
